Before & After: The Knowledge Society

View Website

The client

The Knowledge Society is a one-of-a-kind leadership and professional development program for adolescent students to get hands-on experience at industry-leading startups and global NGO's.

The project

TKS asked me to "freshen up" their landing page. They asked to see how I could make things seem "polished." Right away with requests like these, I start by looking for issues with hierarchy, information organization, and navigability. Sure enough, that's where the issue was. This project shows every single change I made and why with a side-by-side comparison of before and after shots.

Highlights

Objectives

TKS said their landing page felt "unprofessional" and "lacked polish." I helped identify that the real issue was a lack of visual consistency, informational disorganization, and poor navigability.

Challenges

To the average user, the changes would seem merely cosmetic. The challenge was going to be proving that these ostensibly subtle changes actually had major impact on the page's usability.
